Life is not always easy. And let’s be honest, serving God and living a righteous life is not always easy either. Sometimes it can feel like the daily choice to serve Him is just too difficult for our flesh to push through. It’s been a great day thus far: cleaning, playing with the kids, watched the Macy’s Day Parade, cooking (and watching my awesome wife cook) & reflecting on how grateful I am for so many things. Just a few:

Happy 2nd birthday to my beautiful daughter! We celebrated with the family today with cupcakes and presents. I am blessed beyond words to have a little girl. When Fawn was pregnant for the 4th time we were both settled on having 4 boys. Little did we know what a gift we were about to receive. Enjoy the pics! (click the pic to see the album)

Thanks for everyone who offered a suggestion for our date night! We went to Jonny Rockets for dinner. Cozy had the chicken strips, but mostly just sucked catsup off the fries. After dinner we walked through the mall and looked at EVERYTHING that was pink, sparkled or had frills. I love my girl and am grateful to Jesus for His grace in my life!
I love my new trash can! You may question the average level of excitement in my life when I start blogging about my new trash can…but this is no average receptacle. Our old, stainless steel trash can with the foot pedal that opened the lid, served us well over the course of several years, 2 states and 3 residences… (continued)
It’s been a couple days since I posted and it’s been a busy week. For those of you who were paying attention, I ended a 10 days cleansing fast on Thursday. The result? I lost about 10-15lbs, slept great and had a high level of energy. Amazing, I would highly recommend it. I felt great after the second day and felt even better on day 10. I definitely think I’ll do it again. Since I’ve started eating solids again, I’m working hard to stay away from a lot of sugar, anything fried and large servings. We’ll see how it goes.
If you’ve been tracking my "fast" of the last couple days, don’t worry, I’m still alive! I didn’t post last night because we opened our annual Myster Dinner Theater and I was the host. Needless to say it was a late night. The end of day 3 was uneventful, at this point there aren’t any real cravings, it feels like I’m in the zone. I have noticed that my energy level is pretty constant throughout the day, although I’m definatley feeling less energy overall. I did have one craving today. I made my kids Mac & Cheese and Oh Baby did it smell good.
