Highlights from our first day in Kong Pixay! What would you like to see from the next orphanage?

Pastor Tim and I have been on the go for the last 30 hours.  Our journey to the Foursquare Children of Promise orphanages in Cambodia began with approximately 20 hours of air travel and 14 hours of time zone change.  Thank God for great company!  Once we arrived in Cambodia around noon local time, our hosts, Jock and Sam picked us up at the airport and helped us get oriented to the city.  We had a great dinner at a local restaurant and are grateful to finally get to bed 37 hours after we left Seattle.

Here are a couple of my initial observations:

This morning I woke up thinking about the mission of missions and the power of the Holy Spirit…  You can’t have an effective missions movement without the Holy Spirit.

I’m so proud of you church of Living Water! “This Easter” once again demonstrated your amazing heart to serve and love people like Jesus does. I’m waiting for all the stats to come in, but overall it was an AMAZING weekend! I’m away from town right now with my family, but had to drop a note to celebrate how you are making Jesus famous in this CITY!

Last weekend Pastor Tim preached a great message for Palm Sunday. I had the opportunity to visit each of our theater campus with my bride, Fawn. Here’s the recap:

What an amazing God we serve!  Lives are being changed and it’s all because of JESUS.  Shout out to all the amazing youth leaders in this city who are UNIFIED in the name of Jesus.

HOPE!  The last two weekends were all about HOPE!  If you haven’t seen either of the video please take a look.  Each of us know somebody who would be encouraged by one of these two incredible stories, so take a minute to share the message of HOPE with someone you care about.

Last night was life changing for many people.  Katie Rye shared her journey of disappointment and ultimate HOPE with several hundred ladies at Girls Night Out.  There were buckets of tears and bridges of hope that left everyone hanging on her every word.

Katie will be with us again this weekend for all services – YOU NEED TO BE THERE!
